Hope is Not a strategy

There are three kinds of people: 1) People who make it happen; 2) People who watch it happen; and 3) People who say “What just happened?!?”  The first kind of person is generally the most successful. These are the people who decide what they want the outcome to be and then begin the arduous task of bringing it to fruition.

The guys who just watch from the sidelines may ‘hope’ the plan succeeds, but otherwise, they’re not much help. And that third kind of person, the oblivious ones, can actually impede progress because they get in the way.

If there is something you really want to see, achieve or experience in your lifetime, don’t sit around hoping your luck will change. Change your luck. Exchange your hope in the unknown for faith in yourself.  That’s a strategy that might actually make things happen.
